My Definition: Chinese instinctually feel opposing forces (陰陽 yīnyáng) create gray areas (灰 huī) to operate that produce the least amount of chaos for the greatest personal benefit (利益 Lìyì), and it is this balance between extremes, the yin, and the yang, where the greatest harmony exists.
